Overview

Me and Aydarous is a Gulf comedy that takes a witty look at social customs and the dynamics between generations. A bold and spirited young woman secretly slips away from home to meet someone she cares about, convinced she has evaded all oversight — only to find herself face to face with her accompanying driver, Aydarous, who becomes an unexpected and formidable obstacle to her plans. The film mines the comic tension between freedom and tradition, casting the chauffeur as an unlikely antagonist in what becomes a battle of wills. Light in tone but sharp in observation, it offers an entertaining glimpse into the quiet negotiations between personal desire and social expectation in Gulf society.
