Overview

Illusion is a Berber-language horror mystery from Morocco that follows a newlywed couple, both teachers, who end their long search for affordable housing by moving into a home that comes at a suspicious price. Their bargain quickly reveals its hidden cost: the house is haunted by the ghost of a small child. Rather than flee, the couple makes the unusual choice to investigate, searching for the child's family and the dark history behind his restless spirit. Blending supernatural dread with a genuinely humane curiosity, Illusion is a thoughtful entry in Amazigh-language cinema that transforms a ghost story into a quiet meditation on the past's refusal to stay buried.
