The Four Sources, is a 1977 Moroccan movie. with a runtime of 35 minutes.
Overview
The Four Sources (Al-Manabe' al-Arba'a) is a rare 1974 Moroccan fantastical film directed by Ahmed Bouanani, adapted from a poetic fable with a visual sensibility that sets it apart from mainstream Arab cinema of its era. The film stars Bouanani's wife Naïma Saoudi, who also served as art director and set designer, making it a deeply collaborative family work. Notably, it stands as the only color film in Bouanani's career — an experiment that ultimately convinced him his true vocation lay in black and white. As a result, The Four Sources occupies a singular, anomalous place in the legacy of one of Moroccan cinema's most distinctive auteurs.
