Overview

Alla Fein, or Where To, is a short Egyptian drama set entirely within a New York City taxi cab. A middle-aged Egyptian cab driver picks up a newly arrived Egyptian immigrant chasing the American Dream, and what begins as an ordinary fare evolves into a candid, searching conversation about choices, regret, and what it means to build a life far from home. As the city streams past the windows, both men are forced to confront uncomfortable truths about the paths they have taken and the ones they left behind.
