Overview

Al-Bayt (Home) is a short documentary film that explores Palestinian resistance through the intimate and enduring memory of an elderly woman. Placed directly before the camera, she becomes more than a subject — she is a living declaration, calling out to viewers and reminding them that Palestine, as a home and an identity, remains standing. The film bridges the deeply personal — the memory of a single woman — with the sweeping political reality of an entire people's displacement. In its quiet power, Al-Bayt affirms that resistance need not be armed or loud; sometimes it is simply the act of remembering and refusing to forget.
