Overview
Emperor — known in full as Daen and Flona in the Emperor — is a UAE comedy film starring a cast of prominent Emirati talents. The story centres on Daen, a young man who nurses a burning ambition to make it as a big movie star, but whose timid personality and string of setbacks keep standing in his way. Unwilling to give up, he resorts to disguise and impersonation, adopting different personas to mask who he really is and inch closer to the spotlight. Each new deception lands him in increasingly comic situations, and the film, directed by Rakan, uses this light premise to affectionately poke fun at the gap between big dreams and the reality of getting there.
