Hold Your Position is an Egyptian comedy that draws sharp contrast between two men leading wildly different lives. Ayman is a casting director who enjoys complete freedom — multiple relationships and no obligations — while Hazem is a dutiful family man weighed down by his corporate job, marriage, and fatherhood. Each quietly envies the other's existence until a bizarre shared experience upends both of their worlds and forces them to confront what they truly want. The film uses its odd-couple premise to deliver a light-handed but pointed exploration of freedom versus responsibility, and what it really means to want someone else's life.
