All Roads Lead to Rome is a Lebanese comedy-drama following Hady, a well-known actor who makes the shortlist to play a young pope in a major international film production. To prepare for the role, he retreats from his hectic city life to the serene Qannoubin valley, seeking solitude in a convent of nuns. But solitude proves elusive when a charming young woman and the nuns around him push him toward an unexpected emotional and spiritual transformation. Equal parts comic and heartfelt, the film asks whether a man who plays roles for a living can discover who he truly is.
