Overview

7000rpm is a short documentary portrait of Amine, a young man consumed by a passion for mechanics and the visceral thrill of roaring engines. Despite a history of serious accidents, Amine cannot resist taking to open roads in the absence of a proper racetrack, surrendering himself to an expressive camera that captures his restless pursuit with both power and elegance. The film operates simultaneously as a character study and a meditation on obsession, tracing the fine line between passion and recklessness. In following Amine's journey, 7000rpm also sketches the portrait of a determined young filmmaker who channels his own unquenchable drive into cinema, making the film as much about the act of creation as it is about speed.
