Egyptian director. He is the son of the late great director (Fahmy Abdel Hamid). He began his career as an assistant to his father in the series (One Thousand and One Nights), which he presented in the years (1987, 1989). After that, Wael presented the movie (A Star Is Born) 1991, and a number of series such as: (Ingratitude) 1997, (Do Re Mi) 1998, (Swalif Harem) 2004, (Amsha fi Deira al-Niswan) 2008, (Blood and Women) 2009. His name became famous as a co-director with the Syrian director (Muhammad Zuhair Rajab) in the series (Queen in Exile) 2010.
