
He was born in the city of Aleppo in 1934 to a well-off family. He studied in Syriac Catholic schools in Qamishli, and preferred to continue his studies in European universities so that he could pursue art. He was fluent in the French and Syriac languages. After leaving his studies, he formed several of his own theater groups, but the first step was to establish the “Theater Supporters Association” group. There are many plays that he wrote and acted, and he also directed and printed them at the Al-Shabab Press in Qamishli. The play “Blood Shedder” by Salim Hanna included art in all its aspects, as he was not limited to writing, composing, acting and directing, but also to dancing, as he won several awards and titles. He died in 1986.
