An Egyptian dancer, born in Alexandria in 1927, she practiced dancing in Al-Thaghr nightclubs in the mid-thirties. She was attracted to Egyptian cinema and participated as a dancer in many films. She participated in the movie “Fatima” 1947 with Umm Kulthum In 1949, she met Farid Shawqi and married him after he stipulated that she quit dancing, but their marriage did not last long due to her intense jealousy of him, and when she learned of his intention to separate, she committed suicide in a failed attempt. Her films as a dancer include Omar and Jamila, Othman and Ali, Kadab Fi Kadab, and Fatima.
