
An Egyptian author and poet, she was the wife of musician Ali Ismail, and her real name is Souad Wagdy. Nabila began working as a monologue, and she has a number of monologues, such as: (On your soul, the best of righteousness is urgent, Zawgan, what is it, people, my heart is medicine, ask yourself, where did you get this from, we were and they were, gone with the wind, they are gone, people, I was and we were, people for people, get away from people, the money and money of the world). Nabila is considered the first poet to experience song writing in Egypt after the generation of the second golden age of song in the first half of the twentieth century, and the one closest to the recipient’s ear, not only because her name is linked to her husband, the musician Ali Ismail, who played a role in introducing her to the artistic community and in her fame thanks to his melodies for her words, but also because of her ability to write many different songs that stuck in the minds of listeners. Among the most famous of them are the Ramadan songs that she wrote and sung by the cheerful trio, such as (Ramadan Rosary) and (Ahu Jah Ya Welad), composed by her husband, Ali Ismail, and the song (Bring the Lanterns), which was composed and sung by Mohamed Fawzi. She also has a number of patriotic songs that many listeners have memorized, such as (We Are Going to Shaileen in Our Hands), and the song (Umm al-Batal) by Sherifa Fadel, in addition to writing patriotic songs that she sings. The fun trio as a background for popular dances in the Reda Folklore Band, such as: (Sweetness of Our Sun) and (Let's Have a Trip). The late poet also wrote many songs for great male and female artists, such as Shadia (Where Are You Going, O Bride), Mohamed Fawzi (O the Shajara), Fayza Ahmed (Abu Ayali), Mohamed Al-Azabi (Hatshepsut), and of course the most famous song in the movie (The Earth) by Youssef Shaheen (The Earth is Thirsty). She died on January 14, 1988 in Cairo, Egypt.
