An Egyptian actress of Lebanese origin named Mary Morcos Kafouri. She was born in 1890 in Beirut, Lebanon. Her family moved to the Shaareya neighborhood in Egypt. Her mother worked as a seamstress. She began her life in the theater. She was discovered by the artist George Abyad. She moved to Port Said and entered the field of cinema. She worked in many works, including the film “The Secrets of Dina” in 1942, directed by Ibrahim Lama, in a small role. After that, she appeared in the film “On the Stage,” Life, and in the film “My Daughter” in 1944, and she married a businessman. Egyptian-Syrian by origin, she was killed in 1944
