
George Fouad Kordahi... Lebanese journalist and politician. George was born in the town of Faytroun, Keserwan district in Lebanon, and spent his childhood years there. He received his education at Notre Dame College at the Lebanese University, where he studied political science and law, but his approach was different. He began working in the media during his university studies, and obtained many certificates in applied courses and a diploma in written, audio and print media from the Louvre Institute in France. During his university studies, he began working with Lisan al-Hal newspaper in 1970, then moved to Lebanon Television in 1973, to work as a presenter of news and political programs. He then moved to Radio Monte Carlo in Paris, where he worked as a preparer and presenter of political radio programs and continued to publish news for 12 years (from 1979-1991). He then moved to work as first editorial secretary and then as editor-in-chief of the radio, and thus achieved wide fame and great success. He continued working for two years as editor-in-chief of Radio Monte Carlo and then moved to the editor-in-chief of Radio Orient in Paris, with whom he spent two years of his media career and then moved to radio. (MBC.FM) in London in 1994, which was going through harsh conditions at the time, but he was able to cross it to safety. The real start for George Qordahi was in the year 2000 when he moved to work on MBC 1 and started his famous Arabic program (Who Wants to Be a Millionaire), which is a program for competitions and general culture. The program continued to be shown for three years and gained unparalleled fame. Qordahi then moved to the Lebanese channel LBC in 2004, to present his new program (Open Your Heart), but he soon returned to MBC again and revived the program Who Wants to Be a Millionaire, but with a double prize to become his name. (Who will win the two million). George Qirdahi then moved to another program called (The Challenge) in 2006. George Qardahi presented the program (The Tenth Force) between 2007 and 2008, and continued to work on MBC until 2011, when he left due to his disagreements with the channel’s management, after he made a statement in which he supported the Syrian government. Then he moved to work on Al-Mayadeen TV channel in 2012, then he worked on Al-Hayat Channel in the program (Al-Musameeh Karim) on Abu Dhabi Channel. The results of a poll conducted by a Lebanese magazine showed that George Qardahi is the most popular personality in the Arab world. He was also crowned the best presenter of various programs in the Arab world through the poll conducted by Al-Sada magazine. Qardahi was included in the list of the 100 most important and famous Arab personalities published by the Emirati magazine (Arabian Business). George participated in many advertising campaigns, due to his great popularity in the Arab world, among the most famous campaigns in which he was part of Nestlé, Mobinil, Quaker Oats, GK Perfumes, Hyundai Motor Company, and Nokia. Qardahi is fluent in English, Italian, and French, in addition to the Arabic language, and he paid special attention to studying the culture of Arabic literature.
