
An Egyptian dancer and actress, born in Damietta on November 24, 1907, where she worked as an actress in Ali Al-Kassar’s troupe, then as a dancer in Badia Masabni’s troupe in 1929, and was nicknamed “Sultana of Love.” She was known for her strong relationship with officers of the British forces through their frequenting of the club in which she was dancing. Legends were woven about her role as a spy for Germany against the Allies during World War II. She traveled to Europe and danced there, but the circumstances of the war brought her back to Cairo. She married the director (Mohamed Abdel Gawad) and gave birth to him. The radio also presented her memoirs in episodes during the sixties, and Hossam El Din Mostafa directed a film about part of her life entitled (The Spy Hikmat Fahmy) starring (Nadia Al-Jundi).. (Hikmat) died on June 28, 1974.
