Fida Qishta is a director and writer, known for Where Should the Birds Fly (2013), Equally Damaged (2016) and The Call (2017). Fida Qishta is from Rafah, Gaza. She began her filmmaking career as a wedding videographer, but soon moved on to working with international human rights observers in Gaza, documenting day-to-day life under siege. Her commentary on the siege was published in The International Herald Tribune. Her video reports on Operation Cast Lead were published widely, including in the UK newspaper The Guardian and in its weekly news magazine, The Observer.
