Egyptian football goalkeeper. He is considered one of the best goalkeepers in the history of Egypt. He won the title of best goalkeeper in the 2006 African Cup of Nations and the 2008 African Cup of Nations after he saved two penalty kicks after the Egyptian team tied 0-0 with the Côte d'Ivoire team in the 2006 African Cup of Nations final. The Egyptian team subsequently won the African Cup of Nations for that year. His heroic and manly performance in the Ghana Nations 2008, which was the most difficult tournament, had the greatest impact on the Egyptian national team winning the championship and winning the best goalkeeper in that tournament. He participated in the movie Al-Zamahlawiya after his departure from Al-Ahly Club.
