He was born in one of the villages of Al-Rifai in the city of Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate, southern Iraq. From the beginning, he was associated with great directors such as: Jassim Al-Aboudi, Ibrahim Jalal, and Badri Hassoun Farid. His relationship with theater began in 1969. He completed sixty-eight plays at the acting level, including (Sidra) and (The Popular Epic), and the films (Al-Qadisiyah), (The Game), and (King Ghazi).
