
Aziz Eid was born in Kafr El-Sheikh in 1884, and his origins go back to Lebanon. His family immigrated to Egypt, and chose Kafr El-Sheikh as their home. His father worked in agriculture and trade. Aziz studied in French schools, until he mastered the language. After completing his secondary studies, his father sent him to Lebanon, where he completed his university studies, and there he formed an artistic duo with Fatima Rushdi, and presented many plays that are considered classics of theatre. Aziz Eid tried to present a new idea and a deep vision for theatre. He was called the pioneer of Arab theatre. He studied theater theoretically by reading the most important theatrical books in the French language. Then he began experimentally when he began to participate in acting in some of the plays that were presented by the major French theater groups at the Royal Opera House. Then he learned all the secrets and mysteries of acting from the great artists of France at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the twentieth century. He participated with the distinguished actor Youssef Wehbe in opening the Ramses Theater. Aziz Eid died in 1942 at the age of 58. From his works, take care of Romilly forever.
