عصام السيد

Egyptian theater director. Born in 1952. Graduated from the English Language Department, Faculty of Education, Ain Shams University in 1974. Then he obtained a postgraduate diploma in education and psychology. He has directed more than fifty theatrical productions since 1981 in state and private theater, television, mass culture, and national celebrations. He served as Director General of the Comedy Theater of the Ministry of Culture (1995 - 2002). He supervised theatrical production in the production sector of Egyptian Television (2003 - 2004). He worked as a technical advisor to the head of the cultural production sector. He assumed the position of Director General of the Theater Department of Mass Culture in 2008, then Head of the Central Administration for Artistic Affairs at the General Authority for Cultural Palaces. 2011 He assumed the presidency of the Artistic House for Popular Arts until his retirement in 2012.
