A graduate of the Cinema Institute, Directing Department, he presented a number of films as an assistant director, where he continued to work as an assistant director for 12 years with Egypt’s leading directors, including Sherif Arafa, Nader Galal, Amr Arafa, Saeed Hamed, Ahmed Awad, Samir Seif, Duraid Lahham, Tariq Al-Erian, and Muhammad Al-Najjar. He also directed many song clips until he presented Code 36 as the first film directed by him. His father is the director of photography, Samir Farag.
