The twin brother of the late artist Imad Hamdi, he worked in the Ministry of Agriculture. He started acting two years before his brother Imad, when he participated in acting in the movie (Aida), which starred Kawkab Al-Sharq, Umm Kulthum. This was the only movie he participated in acting in before working in the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
