
An Egyptian director and actor, who worked in theater, radio, and television. He was born in Dakahlia Governorate. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts in 1964, Department of Acting and Directing. Then he obtained a scientific and practical certificate in theatrical directing from the Republic of Hungary in 1972. He joined the National Theater as an actor and director, and was appointed to the Faculty of Arts at Alexandria University, Department of Theater. He was a member of the Council of the Syndicate of Acting Professions for seventeen years, which was the beginning of his artistic career. Through the theatre, specifically in the sixties, where he directed his first play entitled (Warqa Waraq), after which his works in the theater continued, the most prominent of which are (Sitt Al-Malik, Al-Sabinsa). He served as captain of the Actors Syndicate for two consecutive terms. He founded the itinerant theater and was appointed its director. He also participated as an actor in many works since the late seventies, where he participated in many works between theatre, television and radio, the most prominent of which are (The Judiciary in Islam, Imam of Preachers, and Heroes). He died on February 23 of the year 2003 after a struggle with kidney failure.
