
A skilled composer and singer from the fifties and sixties. He was born on April 10, 1927 in Fayoum Governorate, where he completed his various studies. Then he joined the Higher Institute of Arabic Music and graduated in 1948. He worked as a teacher for three years, after which he resigned and was appointed agent for the control of songs and recordings at the Ministry of Culture, and obtained a sabbatical there for a long period of time for the sake of music and singing. At the beginning of the fifties, the artist had a group of songs, some of which were composed by him, and he continued his career in composing for other singers such as: Karem Mahmoud, Scheherazade, Muhammad Rushdi, Muhammad al-Azabi, Ahmed Ibrahim, vocalist Sheikh Muhammad al-Toukhi, and others. He also participated in the singing lead of several cinematic films, including: The Three Musketeers. Between two hearts. Queen of the night. Let's love. The secrets of the world. Son of the desert. The funny thing is that Abdel Fattah Rashid sang on Near East Radio in Palestine, and when King Abdullah bin Al Hussein of Jordan heard him, he requested his presence in Amman. Therefore, he prepared for this occasion with a poem written for him by the Palestinian poet Mustafa Darwish Al Dabbagh, entitled “O Son of Hussein,” which he sang in Raghadan Palace in Amman.
