Ubadah Al-Hamami (b. 1990, Damascus) is a documentary film and television program director, and co-founder of AWJ Studios for the production of sustainable content and original programming. He graduated from the Al Jazeera Media Academy with a specialty in documentary filmmaking, and the Light Art Academy for motion picture making. He started his career as a editor, then progressed in his field until he became a director with his own imprint. He worked with a number of Arab channels, most notably MBC1, where he directed and produced many television programs and segments such as “From Scratch,” “The Middle Line,” and “Malik Bel Tawila.” In 2022, he contributed to the founding of Oj Studios, and directed many works that reflect his vision of creating influential and sustainable content, the most prominent of which is the film “Chapter 295,” which was shown on five Arab channels simultaneously. He also recently signed a partnership agreement with the “Speak Arabic” initiative to produce an epic documentary series about Arabian horses. He is currently working on directing the documentary program “That’s My Testimony” for the Saudi Cultural Channel.
